Our Gifts

Our Offering to God Makes a Difference in the World

Our collective financial giving also ensures Cornerstone UMC is able to engage in community outreach to local schools, senior communities, and other groups. It also provides the funds to pay our pastor and staff.

Our Financial Support Provides Space for Ministry

Like most of us, Cornerstone UMC has ongoing financial obligations. These include utilities, insurance, supplies, equipment, maintenance, repairs, mortgage payments, grounds, and more.

It is through our financial gifts that the church is able to have physical spaces (building and grounds) for worship, choirs, community dinners, children and youth programs, funerals, weddings, events, groups, Bible studies, operation backpack, the food pantry, meetings, and more!

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.
— 2 Corinthians 9:7

Generosity is a Spiritual Practice

We each have an opportunity to grow in the spiritual practice of generosity as our faith matures. Like prayer, worship, and other discipleship practices, generosity is another way we demonstrate love and devotion to our generous God. Together, we are called to return a portion of what we have to God to help others.
