YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE

For those facing organ failure, the gift of a donated organ can mean renewed life, restored health, and precious additional years with loved ones.

More than 100,000 people remain on the national transplant waiting list, and every eight minutes another person is added to that list.

Many of these individuals are our neighbors, friends, coworkers, and part of our community—each with a story of courage, resilience, and hope.

Some wait for kidneys; others for hearts, lungs, or livers. While thousands of lives are changed by transplants each year, too many wait for the call that could be their second chance.

ORGAN DONATION

Hope comes from both living and deceased donors.

Living donors are able to give certain organs or portions of organs—most commonly a kidney or part of a liver—while continuing to live healthy lives.

Deceased donors have chosen to give the gift of life by donating organs such as their heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and others.

Both living and deceased donors play a vital role in saving lives, and make organ transplantation possible for thousands of people each year.
